The K189T uses Schimmel's Trilogy II action, identical to that in the larger K213T, enabling far more subtle control than a piano of this size would normally offer. A wider tail provides room for longer bass strings and a larger soundboard area, contributing to the powerful sound and immense tonal depth of this piano. This is a top level acoustic instrument that is frequently used by professional and amateur soloists and ensembles.
This instrument is also fitted with a TwinTone system to enable 'silent' playing through headphones and also digital output with line level audio or midi. This makes the instrument perfect for broadcast situations and has been used on many occasions by the BBC and other broadcasters in this mode.
This piano is 189cm in length and suitable for small to medium size venues.
