Kawai

Forsyth have been UK 'Kawai Dealer of the Year' many times and we are a long-time advocate of these high quality, value for money instruments. Kawai have been making pianos since 1927 when the original Mr Kawai left the Yamaha company where he had setup the production of Yamaha's first pianos.   Naturally, therefore, their pianos compete directly with those by Yamaha, generally offering a warmer-toned alternative. They also offer an industry-leading 10 year warranty.

Famous Kawai Pianists

A growing number of high profile musicians have turned to Kawai as their instrument of choice including Neil Sedaka (who owns two KG3 grands), Matthew Bellamy from Muse, and 2010 Young Musician of the Year Lara Melda (who has an RX3 grand).

Where are Kawai pianos made?

In common with Yamaha, Kawai make their 4 foot 11 GL10 grand piano in Indonesia, with the GL, GX and Shigeru Kawai ranges being made in Japan.
