The tenor ukulele is another step on from the concert ukulele. It's got a longer scale length again and yet bigger body. It's very often tuned the same as the soprano and concert - but it can also be tuned down to the lower 'D' tuning (DGBE) and is sometimes tuned 'non-re-entrant' with a low D. Ideal for the soloist, they have a big, strong sound.
