What they say
Inspired by the most prized, vintage mouthpieces of the 1920s, Reserve harnesses modern technology, pioneered by D’Addario, to recreate the incomparable mouthpiece craftsmanship of yesteryear. Milled—not molded—from hard rubber for a higher level of consistency, every Reserve mouthpiece is machined to the strictest tolerances. Of course, the true beauty of Reserve lies beyond its polished angles, curves, and proprietary material to something far more remarkable: its sound.
The Reserve Mouthpiece is 100% precision-milled, not molded, from solid rod rubber. This is done using D'Addario's precise computer-controlled mouthpiece-making technology in the United States, with no hand finishing required, hence delivering incredible consistency. This unique mouthpiece-making technique eliminates the need to try various different pieces, as with several of D'Addario's competitors.
Suited for clarinettists of all ages and abilities, our Reserve mouthpiece models offer an array of resistance options. Mouthpieces with shorter facings or larger tip openings are best suited to softer reeds. Longer facings or more closed tip openings are best for harder reeds.
