Atkin Dust Bowl O14 Acoustic Guitar
Catalogue No: igATK-DUSTBOWL014
This tiny little beautiful guitar is reminiscent of the Depression Era 1930s guitars, with an all solid mahogany body and an ebony nut. A handmade marvel, the guitar features scalloped bracing, a soft V neck and a rosewood fingerboard to boot. With Atkin's own aged nitrocellulose finish, the "cracks" in the lacquer really help the tone, and make this small guitar sound massive.
What they say
Our Dust Bowl Series is inspired by some of the depression era guitars of the 1930’s. A lightweight all-mahogany body construction, scalloped braces, and soft-V neck carve that hugs your hand. The 16″ radius Indian Rosewood fingerboard with rounded-over edges makes ‘thumb-overtop’ playing easy and comfortable.
These Dust Bowl guitars have a full, rich and dry voice with enough of a push in the midrange to inspire any ragtime picker, while still giving plenty of warmth and openness across the strings to keep any player happy. It offers that ‘piano-like’ cavernous articulation in the bass end, and a sweet and well-rounded treble.
