The present score was finalized over several months of fruitful collaboration between the composer and the members of Quatuor Debussy. Major performance indications provide an "inside" experience of this touching piece.

Our aim is to give this score maximum exposure, in particular among the younger public, who will doubly benefit from an easier approach to, and performance of, this opera and from the near-magical experience of string-quartet practice.
