Bombardment for Tuba BC
Catalogue No: BWP1172BC
Arrangement | Tuba and Piano |

Arranger | Christopher Mowat |
Product Format | Sheet Music |
£9.50
The 'bombardon', a term used a century ago for the lowest brass instrument in a military band, isn't connected at all with 'bombardier', a soldier who assisted in the loading of canons. This 'bombardment' of pieces, with no warlike intentions, comes from the eighteenth century, showing what Handel, Bach, and Besozzi might have given us if they had even heard of the bombardon, or as it was to become later, the tuba. Plenty of opportunities here for your silkiest legato, your flashiest semiquavers, and everything in between.
