Vacchiano, William - Moving Transpositions, after Saches 100 Etudes for Trumpet
Catalogue No: EP68091
Transposition at sight ranks as one of the most essential skills to be mastered by an orchestral trumpet player. In this volume, each of Sachses formidable etudes is presented in its original form complete with multiple key changes. It is then presented with a written-out transposition for trumpet in Bb - providing the student with a useful study guide and key to these rather daunting transposition exercises.
William Vacchiano was a legend in the brass world for over 70 years - for 31 of those he sat in the principal chair of the New York Philharmonic Orchestra. Sadly, he passed away aged 93, in September 2005. He was a natural teacher an mentor - inspiring ma ny of his students to achieve successful performing careers of their own around the globe. OTHER TITLES by Vacchiano published by Edition Peters: The Art of Double Tonguing, The Art of Triple Tonguing, Miniature Variations on The Carnival of Venice (for T rumpet in Bb & Eb).
