A long-time favourite of professional musicians, the YPC-62 can be found in many top orchestras worldwide. Sharing many of the characteristics of the Yamaha handcrafted series, the YPC-62R features a similar design and boasts a high degree of hand-craftsmanship for excellent intonation and playability. This model has a "Wave" cut headjoint for an extremely gratifying response as well as a wider dynamic range.

The "Wave" cut headjoint offers an extremely gratifying response as well as a wider dynamic range.
Professional Playability
Professional piccolos feature select grenadilla wood for exceptional tone as well as conical bore for accurate intonation. The undercut toneholes allow for improved intonation and quicker response due to a smoother airflow through the instrument.
Key mechanism
Silver plated nickel silver with a split E mechanism to help produce a clearer and more responsive high E. The keys are fitted with double skin pads for better seating and a longer life. The mechanism is fitted to the body using a ribbed key post construction offering greater strength and more accurate action.
