An inspiring EPTA workshop on piano, body and mind with Susan Bettaney!
As ever, it was a joy to welcome back Susan Bettaney for another inspiring workshop (4 August 2019) with the European Piano Teachers Association (EPTA)!
These regular sessions are always so popular thanks to Susan's wide-ranging attention to all aspects of piano playing: not only technique and interpretation, but everything from practising in a way that respects physical and mental health to walking on and off stage and interacting with the audience. Fifteen pianists took part, receiving Susan's expert individual guidance and gaining invaluable experience of performing in front of a friendly audience.
Join us for Susan's next EPTA workshop at Forsyth on Sunday 3 November: click here to see more information on our Events page.
Meanwhile, we are also looking forward to our next free piano workshop on Saturday 31 August with Melanie Spanswick, acclaimed author of Play it again: PIANO. Following her brilliant workshop in January, Melanie will be back with us by popular demand – as one participant wrote to 'Pianist' magazine, "We can't wait for her to return!" – with further insight and practical advice on developing essential tension-free technique.
