The studies for saxophone are roughly graded, (easy to intermediate, so they may be used in conjunction with lessons, or prepared for examination. They may also be used by advanced players as a "warm-up" or as sight reading material. The duets at the end of the book usually have an easy 2nd part. These may be played by a teacher and pupil and can provide an interesting and instructive conclusion to any lesson.
