    Aaron Le Maistre

Aaron Le Maistre is a 22 year old multi-instrumentalist from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. He is in his 4th year at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, where he studies piano with the renowned international pianist Kathryn Stott.

As a soloist Aaron has given recitals at Chapel Arts in Cheltenham, and a recital at the Gustav Holst Museum, as well as competing twice in the finals of the Gloucestershire Young Musician competition. He has also performed as a concerto soloist with both the Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra, and the Stroud Symphony Orchestra, with whom he has performed Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No.2, and Ravel’s G major Concerto.

As an ensemble musician, Aaron has been a member of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, principal viola of the CBSO Youth Orchestra, and has previously led both the Gloucestershire Youth Orchestra and Gloucestershire Youth Chamber Orchestra.

Aaron also enjoys accompanying and has over a decade of experience working with choirs and instrumentalists. He is always keen to accompany musicians within college, and particularly enjoys working with vocalists.

    Stanley Butcher

Stanley Butcher is a pianist, conductor, and composer from Norwich and based in Manchester. He has spent the last three years studying with David Parry and has recently started studying with Kathryn Stott at the RNCM.

He has performed in various venues across Norfolk including the Assembly House as part of the Norfolk County Music Festival, the John Innes Centre as part of the Norfolk Young Musicians Competition, Aylsham Parish Church in a Guildhall Young Artist concert, and at the Belfry Arts Centre. He also works as an accompanist for examinations, auditions, and concerts, and has played his second instrument, the French horn, with many ensembles in venues such as the Royal Albert Hall and Birmingham Symphony Hall.

In 2022 he was commissioned by the Mitsu Trio to compose a piano trio for the King’s Lynn Festival. The première was followed by a repeat performance in the Chapel concert series in Norwich. Last summer he attended Chethams Piano Summer School in Manchester, where he had lessons with Joanna MacGregor, Leon McCawley and many others, and performed Chopin’s 3rd Sonata.

In his conducting role, he assisted David Parry with Offenbach’s Robinson Crusoe for West Green House Opera, which inspired him to write a paraphrase on it that was premièred at a concert of music for two pianos he gave with David at the Belfry Centre last November. This year he has continued to work with David and acted as second assistant to him with the recent production of Jonathan Dove’s Marx in London at Scottish Opera in Glasgow where he also gave a solo recital in aid of charity. Since then, he has appeared as a young artist in Southrepps festival working with Ben Johnson, Tom Primrose, and James Platt and given several recitals across Norfolk.
