A gut core string with a full, powerful complex sound with complex overtones, ideal for professional players
The sheep gut core of Oliv strings is manufactured, wound and polished in the traditional way, by hand. The sound is brilliant, rich and complex - Oliv strings offer the typical beautiful sound of gut strings.
Pirastro offer a choice of gold or silver E strings, then the 13 ½ gauge A is aluminium wound, A 16 ¾ D is wound as standard in gold-aluminum (a silver wound version with brighter overtones is also available), and the 15 ¾ G wound in gold-silver.
