Friday 7 June, 6:30 PM ~ Benjamin Frith and Heidi Rolfe - Scheherazade and a Russian Air

We are delighted to welcome back Benjamin Frith and Heidi Rolfe to perform an hour of fantastic piano duets - 4 hands at one piano. This promises to be a spectacular evening of piano music in the wonderfully intimate surroundings of the Forsyth piano showroom. Ben and Heidi have become regulars/favourites here at Forsyth's recital series - and this will be their 4th performance here since our 'post lockdown' recitals started in 2021.

Friday 21 June, 6:30 ~ Evening of Jazz Favourites with The Edward Harris-Brown Trio

Join us for an evening of jazz favourites featuring the talented Edward Harris-Brown Trio. Edward Harris-Brown, a versatile pianist skilled in both classical and jazz, leads the trio. Edward has won numerous competitions and will be studying at the Royal Academy of Music in the Autumn. He is joined by Oliver Pitman on bass guitar, a multi-instrumentalist and singer heading to the Royal College of Music, and Will Savage on drums, who will be attending the Royal Northern School of Music.

Sunday 23 June, 1-3.30pm ~ FREE Piano workshop with Susan Bettaney

We are delighted to welcome back the well-respected pianist and educationist Susan Bettaney to host another piano workshop for pianists of all abilities and stages of their pianistic journey. It is a brilliant opportunity for pianists of ranging levels to gain experience performing in front of a supportive audience (on a superb Schimmel concert grand piano) and benefit from Susan's vast experience and helpful advice.

Saturday 29 June, 6:15 ~ Music by Wendy Hiscocks performed by Chetham's pianists and choir

Welcome to the colourful world of the Australian composer Wendy Hiscocks. After two days of masterclasses working with the talented piano students of Chetham’s, her music for piano solo and piano duet repertoire (including a work for unison voices) will receive a public performance by the students in the splendid showroom at Forsyth Music Shop. Scores will be available for sale and for signing by the composer during this event from a range of publishers such as Edition Peters (now Faber), Schott Music, Revolution Arts, Wirripang and Creativity & Music.
