Highlights from this weeks new guitar arrivals

Quite a few new arrivals this week!

We had a big delivery of Danelectros: DC59s in a few different colours including my favourite Black Sparkle and a cool Go Go Blue we've not had before and a red '67 for the offset fans. We also have a full compliment of 12 strings, baritones and the Long Horn bass.

From the Godin family we have a new Seagull Burnt Umber finish option available which is very pretty and takes me back to buying acrylic paint at art school in the very distant past. For now we have an S6 QI in the Burnt Umber. Also newly arrived is a Rustic Entourage S6 with a cutaway, and the popular nylon string Godin Multiac is back in stock again.

We realised we we running out of left handers this week, so did a phone round and were able to get our hands on an Auden Chester Spruce in left handed, and a left handed version of the always popular Martin DX1.

All the way from Australia is a new Maton Tommy Emmanuel model. These seem to sell incredibly quickly and they do have a unique sound to them, so we advise getting in quickly if you want to try one out.

Lastly we've taken in a few part exchanges and consignment sales. We have a gorgeous Lowden O-32 C with an L R Baggs M1 pickup fitted. We sold this guitar new and its owner is scaling down to smaller instruments so we're helping him find it a new home - it's in extremely good condition with a few tiny marks but nothing major and it sounds awesome. Also in the big bottomed girl category (although we guarantee you can play more than just Queen songs on them) is a second hand Atkin Jumbo, a very early example with a different headstock design. It has been gigged for many years by a professional player so it has a few marks and some pick wear, and again it sounds great. Lastly we had a nice Yamaha LL16 came in on a part exchange which is worth checking out if you're after a decent quality dreadnaught on a budget. Too late, the Yamaha has gone.

More next week!
