Mozart & Stamitz - Quartet in F Major, Kv370

Two quartets from two masters of the form, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Karl Stamitz. The Mozart KV370 quartet is often considered one of Mozart's greatest compositions. These two quartets were originally written for oboe andstrings, but are often played - as here - by flute because of their fine effect on that instrument. Both demonstrate a thorough command of the wind and string sonorities, and they form perfect projects for the chamber-mindedflutist.
