Glass, Philip - Orbit

Orbit for solo cello is a work by acclaimed minimalist composer Philip Glass.It was commissioned by Damian Woetzel and premiered on the 2nd of April 2013, in a performance by cellist Yo-Yo Ma and dancer Lil Buck at Le Poisson Rouge in New York. The performance was a celebration of a collaboration between a strikingly talentedyoung dancer, an unbelievable cellist and one of the most accomplished composers living today.
