Schultz Piano Course, Level 1

The Schultz Piano Course is a comprehensive, flexible course of music instruction for the young, beginning piano student. It is easily adapted to each student's individual rate of progress. The complete course includes areas of study - reading and performance, technique, and theory - to be studied simultaneously in the piano lesson. Each area is covered in three carefully graded levels to encourage logical and steady progress. The Course books introduce and reinforce the fundamentals of reading music and piano performance. A Middle C approach is used in combination with reading and rote activities that allow the beginning student to experience the feel and sounds of different registers of the instrument. A wide variety of musical styles, descriptive lyrics and titles, and "child conscious" instructional material all combine to enhance the student's development of musical awareness and creativity while providing a solid foundation of pianism.
