Dmitriev, Georgi Petrowitsch - 12 Ètudes pour L'Image

Georgi Dmitriev was born in 1942 in Krasnodar in South West Russia and attended the Moscow Conservatory at Kabalevsky. Dmitriev composed various works from multiple resources: folk songs, byzantic liturgies in combination with modern music as twelve tone. He uses themes from "Old Russia", from J.S. Bach and refers to the literature as Herman Hesse. These 12 etudes are written for a 5 octave instrument and require 2 mallets.
