Wykoff, John - I'm Told

Modeled after the spirit and purpose—and in homage to—Bach’s keyboard inventions, the Inventions for Choir deal with the five fingers of a pianist’s hand. Each finger receives a different imaginative poem. In I'm Told, the middle finger is expressed through a limerick that outlines one particular consequence of using this troublesome digit. The Inventions for Choir can be performed in any combination or as stand-alone pieces.
