Animal 'Bones is a trombone quartet in 4 short movements, each with an animal connection. 1. Flighty Fanfare: a punchy phrase building to a loud finish. 2. Sleazy Sloth: Lazy, sleazy phrases for all players. 3. Ponderous 'Potamus Positions: begins with a chorale type introduction then a simple melody appears first in the 4th part then split between the other three, ending with a repeated 4 bar coda. 4. Slithering Slides: A bit of fun to finish with.
