Lafosse, André - Méthode de Trombone, Volume 1

Conceived for beginners and written in 1921, André Lafosse's Complete Method of Slide Trombone - Volume 1 is an introductory method with comments and explanation for slide trombone. Including various exercises and studies, thiscomplete method will also guide the player with the right positions to adopt and direct him to produce a clean sound on the instrument. Complete Method of Slide Trombone has been written in three volumes, the first two in 1921 andthe last one in 1946 and the bass trombone is covered in an appendix of three pages. André Lafosse (1890-1975) was a trombonist and a professor at Paris Conservatoire. He also composed a suite for brass quintet called Suite Breveand recorded with Stravinsky.
