Less Fighting is conceived as a plea for peace. Naive and simplistic certainly, but I am struck by the optimism and idealism and strong sense of morality in children, and I wanted to give them a tune which reflects the simplicity of my wish without acknowledging the rubble of cynicism and scepticism that caves in on some of us as adults. - Stephen Warbeck
