The Chanson flute is capable of taking a player through the higher exam grades. It is free-blowing, responsive and projects well. An excellent instrument for the progressing flautist.
The Trevor James Chanson Voce flute has .958 silver headjoint, silver-plated body, footjoint tube and silver-plated French style pointed key arm mechanism. This model uses a traditional flat lip plate rather than a shaped lip plate that is sometime used in the Chanson flute range.
Voce Headjoint
At the core of the TJ 'silver head model resides the breathtaking TJ 'Voce' headjoint. Forged with a silver content of 95.84%, surpassing the industry-standard .925 silver for step-up flutes, this headjoint opens the gateway to a realm of tonal possibilities that once belonged solely to much higher-priced instruments.
Key Mechanism
The French-style pointed key arms which were traditionally reserved for much more expensive flutes. French-style pointed key arms feature an arm that extends to the centre of the key and helps to strengthen the mechanism, making for a stronger and tighter key placement, which means no leaks and squeaks. These key arms also result in excellent note intonation, reward speedy playing, and aid the development of faster techniques.
Silver Plated Beauty That Lasts
Like all TJ flutes, the Chanson range has a triple plated finish on the tubing. To ensure that the sliver-plating last a lifetime, Trevor James developed their own method of coating flutes. After much research they discovered that by copper-plating the nickel tubing first, the subsequent two layers of silver-plate are rock solid, giving you the most durable finish of any step-up flute.
