Eleanor Waddington

Eleanor Waddington is an experienced Viola player from Kent, based in Manchester. She is in the second year of her Master’s Degree at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) studying with Lucy Nolan. She has a First-Class MusB. (Hons) degree from the University of Manchester where she enjoyed playing the viola alongside her academic studies. Her recent performances include playing with Manchester Camerata and working under the baton of Sir Mark Elder. Eleanor has been teaching violin and viola for the last 5 years and is passionate about the enjoyment of music over everything else. Alongside her private teaching work, Eleanor is the resident string teacher at Forsyth Music Shop in Manchester, and a peripatetic teacher at The Hathershaw College in Oldham, teaching group violin/viola to 11–13 year-olds following the Music in Secondary Schools Trust group tuition curriculum. Eleanor aims to provide unique experiences for all her students, ensuring the lessons are tailored to the individual ensuring enjoyment is her top priority.
