Digital Pianos at Forsyths

The demand for digital pianos has increased rapidly in recent years – the rapid advance of the technology combined a desire for lighter and more portable instruments means that they are fine alternatives to their acoustic counterparts. Here at Forsyths we are proud to display one of the largest selections of digital pianos in the country. Our enviable selection combined with our staff’s expert knowledge means that we have become an essential point of call for your digital piano needs. But which model should you go for? Although nothing can compare to an instore visit, this blog should give you a rundown of some of our favourite models currently on the market. Our current star model appearing at under £1000 comes from a manufacturer you may not have heard of – Pearl River. Suffice to say they are China’s largest acoustic piano maker and supply a staggering 90% of their domestic pianos! We’re really proud to be the sole UK stockists of their two digital models. They combine both innovative Japanese electronics and premium Chinese aesthetics. Also, they are now available on our long term rental scheme from just £11 a week – perfect if you don’t have the budget for a new instrument right away or are dipping your toes into the piano playing world. Venturing into the midrange, we highly recommend instruments from the two world renowned Japanese manufacturers Kawai and Yamaha. Which brand you go for highly depends on your personal taste, with a warmer piano sound from the Kawais and a lively, bright tone emanating from the Yamahas. It’s not something that can be adequately described on paper, so the only way to know for sure is to come and have a play yourself! The Yamaha CLP-635 and Kawai CN-37 both come highly recommended at this price point. Due to upheavals in the digital piano market, our most highly recommended instruments are now available at huge discounts. The Casio Celviano Grand Hybrid range feature fully wooden quarter sawn spruce keys, and are made in collaboration with Bechstein, Europe’s premier acoustic piano maker. Best of all, they are now all at least 20% off. Whilst it used to be the case that you needed to break the bank for a quality digital instrument, at under £2000 these instruments offer incredible realism at highly competitive prices. Our unique position as the largest piano retailer in the northwest ensures that both our knowledge and stock of digital instruments are second to none. A visit to our Manchester showroom will allow you to compare and contrast countless models, with our friendly and expert sales staff on hand to help you decide on the right digital piano for you.
