Piano Highlights - Uprights Above £10,000

The other day we shared with you a few highlights from our range of upright pianos priced below £10,000, including instruments by Schimmel, Kawai, Kemble, and Yamaha. Following on from that post, we are now excited to share some highlights from our extensive range of more advanced uprights. These pianos are suitable for players of any level. The tonal quality and action precision of these instruments make them a great source of encouragement for developing players as well as a never ending inspiration to the most advanced. We stock an extensive range from all of the makers mentioned below so why not pop in and spend some time choosing the one that suits you best.Schimmel C126T - £11,990 - The C126T sits at the top of Schimmel's well established 'Classic' range and is a development of the popular C124T. It uses a mixture of features from the Classic and Konzert ranges and, with a longer key than other Classic models, has a lighter action than most Schimmel pianos. It has a sound which majors on clarity with an open tonal quality, and it would suit a wide range of players.Yamaha SE122 - £11,005 (Special Price) - The most impressive upright we've seen from Yamaha in a long time and vastly superior to the ubiquitous U-series models on which it is based. The SE122 uses Boesendorfer bass strings, German hammer felts, and a higher quality soundboard to produce a fuller and more flexible sound than other Yamaha models and, with the superbly set-up action we have come to expect from Yamaha pianos, this is an instrument well worthy of your attention.Bechstein 112 Academy - £12,200 - If your home demands something less imposing than the C126T, Bechstein's smallest upright might be a good solution. Beautifully made and with a striking modern design by Rommel und Schoen Design, this instrument offers the precise mechanics typical of Bechstein instruments, along with a good, smaller-scale example of the classic Bechstein sound.Schimmel K125T - POA - The Schimmel K125T.The K125T is the middle model in Schimmel's highly acclaimed Konzert range of uprights and was extensively revised around 2 years ago. This instrument takes all the qualities we so admire in the K122E model (one of our best selling upright pianos) and presents them on a larger scale. In common with all Schimmel pianos it has extraordinary tonal and dynamic flexibility, but with the extra clarity and mechanical precision offered by the Konzert range. These pianos are as close as you can get to the feel and sound of a grand piano in an upright casing.Boesendorfer 120CL - POA - A beautiful upright piano by the most exclusive piano maker in the world. The 120CL retains the traditional Viennese sound of Boesendorfer pianos - a sound that is totally unique to this maker and which makes the 120CL an interesting alternative to other high-end upright pianos. The work of experienced craftsmen, this piano really does need to be played and heard to be fully appreciated. C.Bechstein Classic 124 - POA - Second only to the flagship Concert 8 model in Bechstein's range, the Classic 124 is a perfect example of a time-honoured piano builder taking all the ingredients which made their early 19th century pianos so popular and building on them through the additional precision made available by modern piano building techniques. This piano sounds like you expect a Bechstein to sound with a bright, singing tonal quality and an action that really makes you feel part of the instrument.
