We've just spent two very informative days at Yamaha UK, and we have seen some exciting products and ideas.  The first thing we would like to share with you is their NoteStar app for Apple devices.  Ideally used on an ipad for its screen size, the app opens up new ways of enjoying you piano, whether you own a conventional acoustic, a silent acoustic, a Disklavier or other automated piano, a hybrid or 'AvantGrand' piano, or a digital!  NoteStar enables you to download songs in the form of a package, combining a digital score and recordings of vocal, piano and other parts.  Parts can be cancelled out at your will, meaning that once you have learned the piano part to your chosen song, you can then play along with the vocal and band parts.  For more information, and to download NoteStar, follow the link:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/notestar/id474599224?mt=8
