The Chethams International Summer School has become a popular date in the calendar of pianists from a wide range of places and once again Forsyth is part of the action.  This year's event starts tomorrow, 18th August, and runs until 30th August.In the Baronial Associates Room we will be running our usual well stocked shop, selling CDs, sheet music and books pertinent to the event.  One of our stunning Schimmel K230T Konzert grands will take pride of place, giving delegates the opportunity to sample a superb German instrument that provides a real and credible alternative to other leading piano makers.  If you see this instrument and would like to know more about the Schimmel range, or any of the makers we represent (including Bechstein and Bosendorfer as well as mainstream instruments from Yamaha, Kawai, and Kemble), you are very welcome to take a walk up Deansgate to visit our piano showroom where we would be delighted to show you our comprehensive stock.We will also be presenting Yamaha's excellent new Avant Grande range of hybrid pianos, which marries a full action from an acoustic grand piano with the convenience and flexibility of a digital piano.  Again, if you like what you see at the Summer School, we have an Avant Grande N1 model in our showroom at 126 Deansgate, ready for you to try.Whatever your interests, whether it be concert quality grands, professional uprights, pianos for beginners and intermediate players or the latest in digital piano technology, it is well worth making the short walk from Chethams to our shop.  Of course, while you are here, you could also browse an even larger selection of sheet music, books and recordings and view our other instrumental offerings including a vast selection of guitars, a well stocked woodwind section and our popular new string room.We look forward to seeing you at the Summer School and hope that you find the opportunity to combine your visit to Manchester's world class specialist music school with a visit to the city's biggest and most comprehensive music store.
