Schimmel C116 Modern Cubus Wins Design Award

A piano is a substantial item to have in the home and as well as having to meet stringent musical requirements, they often also need to fit into a wide variety of domestic surroundings.  Schimmel have won many awards from Diapason, Pianiste Maestro, and Choc de Musique for the musical qualities of their instruments, and have also achieved considerable success with the design of their pianos.

In the 127th year of its corporate history Schimmel again strengthens its reputation as the piano industry’s innovation leader in musical quality as well as progressive design by winning another sought-after award.“We are very proud that, in addition to all the awards for the musicality of our instruments, our creative work is now being appreciated more and more – this has been proven again by the Focus Open 2011”, says Hannes Schimmel-Vogel with pride.c_116_mc1

The company has received this renowned and famous award in 2011 for the first time. The “sister model” C 116 Modern and the C 116 Modern Cubus have been awarded in numerous competitions over the past years: The Good Design award, the iF design award and the red dot design award as well as nominations for the Deutscher Designpreis (German Design Award) can be added to the achievements that the designers of Schimmel celebrate these days.

At Forsyth, we carry the full range of Schimmel upright and grand pianos and would be delighted to welcome you here so that you can see and hear why Schimmel is the most awarded piano maker of the last 25 years.
