We were thrilled to return to live in-store performances on Friday 18 June with a recital from concert pianist Matthew McLachlan!
This was the first of our series of socially-distanced evening recitals in our newly-refurbished piano showroom, and an audience of over 70 people scattered among the pianos were treated to an enthralling performance of Chopin, Prokofiev and Scriabin.
One audience member, pianist, teacher and writer Rory Dowse, was quick off the mark and posted a glowing review the next day!

We are delighted to welcome the brilliant Romanian pianist Daniel Ropota back to Forsyth for an evening recital in our newly-refurbished first floor piano showroom! Daniel last performed here in May 2019, giving a fantastic lunchtime concert ahead of his undergraduate final recital at the Royal Northern College of Music. He is now in the final year of his Master's at RNCM on an ABRSM EU Postgraduate Scholarship, and his numerous successes at international competitions have already earned him special recognition from his home city of Iași.
This will be the second of our series of evening recitals in the beautiful acoustics of our vast piano showroom. As before, audience members will be asked to spread out throughout the showroom. Those able to stand may wish to do so for a better view, but piano stools will be available for everyone who wants one, and anyone who needs a seat is encouraged to inform us when booking so we can reserve one for them nearer the piano.
