Events at Forsyth: Murray McLachlan plays Marcus Blunt & Rachmaninov! | Plus EPTA Piano Workshop, Learn to Play Day & RNCM Strings Festival

Welcome to a new year of events at Forsyth!

This month we look forward to a very special in-store performance by Murray McLachlan, featuring the work of a composer he has long championed, Marcus Blunt (a former member of staff at Forsyth!), alongside his own transcription of a concerto movement by Rachmaninov. The event celebrates their new CD and sheet music releases, which you will be able to discuss with Murray and Marcus, purchase at discounted prices and even have signed!

In February, we have the latest in our series of EPTA piano workshops with Susan Bettaney, while in March – earlier than usual this year – the enormously enjoyable Learn to Play Day returns: if you've always wanted to play an instrument but never had the chance, or if your children are trying to decide on an instrument to take up at school, this is the perfect opportunity to enjoy friendly, expert taster lessons for free!

But first, we are off to the Royal Northern College of Music to showcase our extensive ranges of sheet music, instruments and accessories for string players at the RNCM Strings Festival 2018.
