Highlights from this weeks new guitar arrivals

The big drop this week was from Ramirez, so we're pleased to say we're now packed to the gills with them once again. The best seller is the 130 Year Anniversary, which is based on a design by the original Jose Ramirez and has a warmer voice than the modern instruments. There has been a makeover for the R series models, which are now called the RA (with laminated back and sides) and RB (with solid back and sides) - we have an RB in store and ready to try. Also back in stock are the 4NE and FL2 Flamenco.

Martin Rosewood Dreadnoughts seem to be selling through as fast as we can unbox them, and this week saw a couple of new arrivals including the HD-28V with forward shifted bracing and V neck. We have yet another HD-28 and a really lovely OM-28 which is a first for us - very like the Eric Clapton 000-28 but it's a bit cheaper and doesn't have a messy great scrawl across the fingerboard (just kidding Eric, your signature is lovely!).

Whilst we love writing about the expensive stuff, it's Christmas and there are lots of people looking for a first guitar - so it's fortunate that the Christmas drop of Aria acoustics has arrived. We have a couple of entry level acoustics: the AD-18 is the standard dreadnought and available in natural or black finishes, and the AF-20 is a smaller smaller and more compact and we have a 3/4 size version as well.

For a more electric Christmas, we have Squier packs in stock in Sunburst and Black finishes which are a great starting point for youngsters interested in electric guitar.

Well, there's a big box full of Fenders calling my name in the stockroom so that's it for this week...
