Highlights from this week\'s new guitar arrivals

It's a little quiet on the new arrivals front with space being at a premium whilst we're doing some decorating, but there are a few new things to tell you about.

New from Fender is a line of Special Run Strats in the Mexican Classic series. These are finished in custom car colours that Fender considered using in the 60s but never got round to ordering - now, 50 years on, we finally have them! The first to arrive are a Canary Diamond Classic '60s and an Apple Green Classic '50s, and they're priced the same as the standard finishes.

We had a few Seagulls arrive at the beginning of the week, including more stock of the venerable S6 Original and more of the hugely popular Merlins in Spruce and Mahogany. There are new models on the way too: the new Concert body shape with a pickup; a new variant on the S6 called the Classic that has unstained, unbound Cherry back and sides and a pickup; and, most interestingly, an S8 Mandolin that Seagull have been promising for years and have finally started production on. The mandolin is due in September, the others are on their way now.

Just in this morning is one for the left handers - a Rickenbacker 360 in Fireglo. It's very hard getting hold of these in left handed and we can't remember when we ordered it but, hey, it's here now!
