This instrument is a typical example of a reconditioned Yamaha U1 from this decade. It is not unusual for these particular pianos to have a brighter, crisp sound across the middle and upper end of the keyboard with a slightly mellower bass.
The instruments are suitable for players of all levels on a budget.
We would, however, strongly recommend comparing these with alternative new and pre-owned pianos to ensure you choose the right instrument for your musical needs and would advise against buying any re-conditioned U-series on the basis of the model name. They are very different from a brand new model U1!
The piano benefits from a practice pedal (middle pedal).
This piano has been fully reconditioned by Yamaha in Japan before shipping to the UK and distributed by Yamaha UK. This Yamaha reconditioned instrument therefore also benefits from a full 5-year manufacturers warranty.
