SOLD: Fully rebuilt Steinway Model O Grand Piano in Black Polyester

This piano is now sold, however we are constantly getting new pre-owned pianos into stock so please get in contact if you are looking for something similar.

This piano has undergone an extensive rebuild which includes:

• A new wrest plank - the old one has been replaced (along with the wrest pins) to ensure reliable tuning stability for many decades to come
• The original soundboard has been restored and re-crowned (through drying out to very low relative humidity and repeated shimming with spruce), cleaning and bleaching and varnishing
• The bridges have been replaced with new bridges made to the pattern of the original
• The frame has been stripped and regilded with Steinway specification gilt paint and lettering/motifs hand-painted
• The action has been completely refurbished, complete with brand new Steinway and Son's hammers
• The piano has been fully re-strung
• The piano's lyre has been completely updated, with the addition of the middle sostenuto pedal
• The casework has been modernised and refinished in black polyester
• Replacement of the music desk for the original Steinway design
• Brand new multi-height prop stick added
• The keyboard has also been deep cleaned and re-bushed (balance and front bushings) and the original set of ivory keytops retained wherever possible

Dating from 1901, this instrument has the full-size keyboard of 88 notes.
