Why Schimmel Konzert?
The Schimmel Konzert series is split into two trilogies and K256T grand is the middle child of the second trilogy of grand pianos. The philosophy behind the Konzert series is that all the ideal concepts of the large 280cm concert grand should be consistently integrated into the smaller models and, where possible, with identical construction. This enables pianists to enjoy the outstanding touch and tonal characteristics of a large concert grand even when performing on smaller models. Perhaps most immediately obvious to the pianist is that the action is taken directly from the full-sized 280cm concert grand. Thus even the smallest K175 model benefits from exactly the same nuanced control available to the concert stage performer!
Needless to say, due to the size of this piano, this instrument has the most beautiful sonorous bass and a wonderful twinkling treble.
Main features
- Scale design is taken directly from the 280 Concert grand and has full Triplex stringing to enhance sustain in the treble and the richness of sound.
- Extraordinary dynamic range is produced by a combination of responsive Renner action custom made for Schimmel by their exacting specifications and a soundboard that incorporates “Dynamic bars”. The detailed clarity of sound, without the harshness that this is often associated with, is a triumph of soundboard design.
- Schimmel pianos all share an enlarged soundboard design in both the bass and for the treble. This allows for frequencies to sustain longer, giving a bigger, warmer and bell-like quality of sound.
- Real ebony wood black key and white mineral keytops to imitate ivory allowing for a more natural and tactile feel
- Mass reduced bridges to allow more flexibility and resonance within the soundboard
- Completely designed and made in Germany - BVK Certified
