The ES110 combines a new graded hammer key action, new speaker system and 88-note piano sampling to offer an realistic piano experience in an affordable, lightweight, portable instrument.
The new intermediate stage piano from Kawai, the ES110 is a real favourite in store. The new Responsive Hammer Compact action is absolutely fantastic; the keys respond quickly enough to finger difficult passages but quick enough to allow full expression and response. Unlike other keyboards at this price point Kawai has chosen to sample each key individually - this 88 note sampling means every pitch has its own character and this is noticeable when compared directly with its competitors. Of course the big technological step with Kawai’s new range of digitals is the inclusion of Bluetooth - with the most useful exploitation of this being Bluetooth midi. This means you can hook up the piano to your DAW without adaptors or cables. Finally they’ve actually managed to make it lighter than its predecessor despite the inclusion of more advanced technology and functions; a loss of 6lb in weight might not seem like a lot but it certainly makes a difference if you’re a gigging musician carrying the keyboard around daily.
