Super compact, super lightweight stage piano with a great sound - ideal for a beginner pianist or for someone needing a portable gig instrument
It's hard to beat Casio as a player in the entry level end of the digital piano market, and the PX-S1000 is a revelation even for them. It's incredibly compact - a set of 88 full size, nicely weighted keys, a couple of inches of control panel and speakers and that's it! As such, if you need a piano that fits in a small space such as a bedroom or hall of residence it's ideal. It's also surprisingly powerful for a portable piano, with speakers that radiate the sound very efficiently around the room, making it a good choice for choir practices, school assemblies etc. It's a really good sounding piano and the keyboard has plenty of weight to it and is more than adequate for your early grades.
The entry level stage piano market is a crowded place with several big names competing for attention, and there are lots of good options. But the Casio has a few tricks up its sleeve the others don't, notably the option for battery power and that tiny footprint, so it's well worth a closer look.
There's never been a keyboard this slim that feels this good. The superior touch of the PX-S1000 is thanks to the newly designed fully weighted Smart Scaled Hammer Action Keyboard which delivers an authentic and uncompromising piano touch with an incredibly compact design. Casio’s proprietary key scaling system reproduces the individual characteristics of each of the 88 keys, while ebony and ivory key textures ensure confident playing in any climate.
