This exquisite hand-built grand piano is a new instrument based on a casework designed by Broadwood in the 1850s. The piano is a high-quality German instrument with the casework only normally found on antiques.
One of the finest examples, that we have ever had in the department, of a fully re-built Steinway model A grand piano, in a beautiful Rosewood French polish with "elephant" legs. This is a German Steinway, made in Hamburg in 1900. This piano has now sold, however, bear with us as we have an identical model currently going through the rebuild process!
A fully rebuilt, modernised grand piano by Steinway model O refinished in black polyester. Originally built in 1901 in Hamburg, Germany, this piano has undergone an extensive rebuild and has been updated with an additional sostenuto pedal and a multi-height prop stick. A fully rebuilt Steinway upright piano, model K, in French polished mahogany dating from 1932. This piano has been re-polished by hand and has undergone an acoustic and mechanical re-build, enabling it to go on giving many more years of good service and musical inspiration.
This elegant example of a Bechstein model B in rosewood is raised on Sheraton style gate legs. This 7'8"/2m instrument dates from 1912 and had been owned by the same family from new until it came to us in part exchange for a Steinway upright. The piano will be fully rebuilt and will become a vibrant piano with another 100 years of life!
