Franck, César - Complete Works for Organ Vol. 5

César Franck's collection of pieces for organ or harmonium entitled "L"Organiste” has been published for the first time in a new edition in the Wiener Urtext Edition since the first edition was published posthumously in 1892. The musical text is based on the autograph engraving model from 1890, whose 59 pieces are rewritten four more are added, which Franck intended for the collection but had not written cleanly.The individual pieces are grouped into nine cycles, arranged according to keys, each consisting of six Magnificat Versetts and a larger Offertoire or Sortie how harmoniously attractive compositions enrich the organ repertoire of the French late romantic period and are equally suitable for liturgy, lessons and concerts.
