“Spiegel im Spiegel” is one of the purest examples of Arvo Pärt's late compositions in “tintinnabuli style”. It is made up of a melody line together with a tintinnabuli voice that is limited to notes of a tonal triad. This creates a dialogue of voices that mutually pervade each other like one single instrument. Pärt's music may look simple from the score. In fact it is not that easy to give this piece the right degree of inner sensation.
