Šárka by Fabrice Bollon is a lyric duo for Violin and Cello, based on Leoš Janácek's opera of the same name. The work condenses the original opera and is in three parts. The duo follows the dramaturgy of the opera and tells, without any words, the dramatic love story of the female warrior Šárka. The result is a highly dramatic instrumental chamber music work.
