Pritchard, Fiona - The 8 Team

The 8 Team is a set of 15 contemporary studies for intermediate brass that focuses on irregular and compound time signatures presented in a melodic, interesting and ultimately playable way. The idea is to familiarize young players with these unusual time signatures so they can play them confidently and see the challenge as fun. The studies are presented as the title suggests as a team of superheroes and sleuths and the stylistic studies demonstrate courage, caution, and confusion! The set contains a full range of time signatures from 3/8 to 12/8 an includes rare 11/8 and 13/8 and a combination of all of them in Crossed Wires. Fiona Pritchard
