Campo, Régis - Concerto pour piano

If it was declared that playing was a "sine qua non" condition of composing, then Régis Campo would certainly get 10/10 every time. The gods above must have listened when he begged them, like Lorca, never to take away his child's mind. Not only did Lorca never lose his but, when he became a father in his turn, he had the good sense to listen to his own child and learn from him as he bounced like a ball or spun round for joy, obstinately flying up to the stars or falling to the ground, shyly murmuring, crying, shouting and laughing. The fresh innocence of childhood has silenced the guns of weary cynicism. Better still, the composer has filtered through all the great movements of history, retaining only that which is blank, a white page which has nevertheless already been painted in every colour imaginable. This will be a dance in which you cannot refuse to join me as a piano-explorer.
