Lennon & McCartney - She's Leaving Home

This well-loved Beatles song was originally released on the Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Gentle and evocative in manner, it can be played by four Bb clarinets and a bass clarinet, or, alternatively, by an Eb clarinet, two Bb clarinets, alto clarinet and bass clarinet. It complements the livelier and more ambitious arrangement of "Ticket To Ride"

"...Shes Leaving Home (grade 5 standard) is a delightful version making great use of interweaving parts. The texture is sensibly varied, frequently using less than the five instruments, and often giving the melody to the second voice while the upper clarinet joins later as a descant line. The waltz feel is successfully retained, in no small part due to the thoughtful bass part."
