The ERSTE KLASSIKSAMMLUNG FÜR KLAVIERTRIO presents a selection of nine melodies from the classical repertoire. It is the result of Andrea Cappellari's many years of experience in music education and research. Melodies by classical composers are made accessible to pupils of all ages from the very first lessons. All nine short melodies consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of six different notes. Only basic note values from the quaver to the whole note are used. The pieces are arranged in order of increasing difficulty and are in the keys most suitable for violin and cello. The lack of complex rhythmic figures, the limited range and the brevity of the melodies enable the student to focus his attention on intonation from the very first notes. The aim of this volume is to encourage music-making in a trio from the very beginning with a repertoire that includes melodies with a limited range and is supported by piano accompaniments. This series is aimed at pupils from music-orientated secondary schools, music high schools and public schools.
