More info

Highly regarded British drummer Phil Seamen, who featured in the bands of Joe Loss, Jack Parnell, Ronny Scott, Harry South, Joe Harriott, Tubby Hayes and Dick Morrisey among many others, released this LP in 1972 on the short-lived and Ray's Jazz shop affiliated label Decibel Records. It was split between a candid interview about his life and career, mixed with excerpts of his peerless drum technique on one side and fascinating live recordings taped at The Hope & Anchor, Islington and The Bull's Head in Barnes that are not only well-recorded but show just how talented he was playing 'in his element'. This is an original pressing that includes the printed insert and is in itself an historical artefact.
