Weir, Judith - I've Turned The Page...
Catalogue No: CH72490
£7.99
Printed on demand, typically dispatched in 3-4 weeks
Commissioned by the Scottish International Piano Competition as the test piece for the 2007 Competition. Using the phrase I've turned the page in conversation implies that you've made a new start and possibly left an old, badhabit behind - as in I never used to practise the piano, but now I've turned the page.I've turned the page... asks the performer to undertake several such drastic transformations within a very short space of time. As each page ofthe score is turned, and sometimes in between turns, the music's character changes radically. The performer also has to develop rapidly during the five or six minutes it takes to play this piece.
