The twelve pieces in The Greenwood Tree are in a similar style to Schumann's Kinderszenen and depict English Landscaes complete with haymakers, dragonflies and village greens. These pieces are perfect for small hands that are finding their way around the keyboard and provide valuable experience in creating imaginative responses to the notes on the age.

This was first published in 1952 but unavailable for some time. This re-issue has a fresh and contemporary engraving, and includes the composer's original fingering.
